Continue to the walled city of Cittadella
This walled city, among the best preserved in Europe, was fortified in 1220. It was disputed between the Scaligeri and the Carraras, eventually remaining under the dominion of the latter. In 1406 it passed to the Republic of Venice.
Bassano del Grappa
Located at the foot of Monte Grappa and crossed by the Brenta, this city boasts a consolidated commercial and artisan tradition. Under the arcades and alleys of the city you can stroll and admire Renaissance palaces and medieval churches. Among the points of interest in the city is the wooden bridge designed by Andrea Palladio which rises over the Brenta river. It is also called Ponte degli Alpini because it was rebuilt by the Alpine troops after the Second World War.
Visit to the city of Castelfranco
Town surrounded by quadrilateral walls of the 15th century with four towers plus the keep that dominates the side towards Treviso. The Cathedral is worth a visit where the famous altarpiece by Giorgione is kept and at the end stop in the artist’s house.
